Laparoscopic Intraperitoneal onlay mesh Repair of a postsplenectomy incisional hernia
Case : 57 years old female who underwent splenectomy before 12 years (idiopathic hypersplenism) suffers from a left subcostal incisional hernia.
After extended symphysiolysis the hernia is unveiled
an intracorporal knotless suture is used to strengthen the abdominal wall
and finaly a hybrid fixation technique which contains transfascial sutures and Tack, is applied
The postoperative course showed a rapidly recovery and unremarkable findings . The Patient was discharged 2 days later in good health condition.
